Keswick 2005
Ten new families joined the special celebrations at the Keswick Convention this year where numbers peaked at 80. It was an amazing week marked by inspiring contributions from so many guests.
Catherine spoke about her move to Knutsford and her engagement to David. Sarah told how she won a medal for playing tennis. Stuart described how God refreshed him during worship in the main tent meeting. Brian came to Keswick despite the very recent death of his father because “I love Jesus and enjoy being here so much.” Carol and Andrew talked about their wedding in June.
For many people the highlight of the week was being able to help lead worship in the main tent one evening. Aman Lee shared an evangelistic word and everyone sang The Father Himself Loves You.
Donna has been coming to Keswick for many years and shared this testimony through Jo, our signer.
“I’m Donna. I can’t hear and I have never learned to talk. I do see a lot and I know how people feel by their faces. Some people have happy faces or sad faces or cold, cross faces, or kind faces. And even funny faces, who make me laugh- I really like that.
I like to go to church with mum and dad because I have lots of friends there who smile and wave to me. Some of them sign to me which I usually understand. At church most people have happy or kind faces which makes it a good place to be.
When I grew up I wanted to share the bread and wine like everyone else at church. So my Christian college and mum tried to show me what it meant with pictures. We made a church book about God loving me, and Jesus showing me how to be friends with God.”
