Special Olympian Steven Yetman achieves a hat trick in Athens
Release date: 1st August 2011
Bangor is celebrating the return of Special Olympian, Steven Yetman who recently won 3 medals at the Special Olympics held in Athens. Steven represented Ireland in a number of Equestrian events winning Gold for English Equitation, Silver for Working Trails and Bronze for Dressage.
Steven has been horse riding for the past 20 years, but has only been competing for the last few years and indeed had previous success at the Special Olympics held in Ireland in 2010. Steven’s success is down to him being extremely focused and dedicated to the training he has undertaken at Gransha Riding Centre to achieve this level of success.
To manage his busy schedule, Steven is supported by Prospects, for people with learning disabilities in the North Down & Ards area. The Prospects’ staff team have arranged a special reception at Bangor Golf Club to welcome Steven home from the games and to congratulate Steven on his fantastic achievement.
Would you like to congratulate Steven, too? You can send him an email through this link.
